Come have FUN with the Conrads!!!

We lean on Jesus as He is our strength for everyday.
1 Peter 4:11 Whoever speaks, is to do so as one who is speaking the utterances of God; whoever serves is to do so as one who is serving by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Adeline is 7

I can hardly believe it!  My sweet Adeline is 7!  She is now going by Addie out in Oregon.  She decided she like the old-time way of spelling Addy.  Fine with me.  I am so impressed by her character.  God is amazing and she is letting Him work in her - double amazing.  This last year she has gone crazy reading.  She reads with such expression and huge words easily.  She has made moving to Oregon look easy.  I can no longer say she is shy.  She might be slow to warm up, but we got a report back from h Sunday School teacher that she was volunteering to read Bible verses and lead singing songs in front of the class the very first time she visited!  Love it!  She has been talking to the kids at her Camp this summer about Jesus and finding out if they go to church and have Bibles or  believe in Jesus.  She did this all on her own.  Partly I wonder if to her it is asking them their favorite color because that is just how Jesus fits in her life.  She found it interesting that not everyone had a Bible much less one for every room as we do she told me!  We do have too many I guess we need to get sharing them. This morning she wanted to share the

Our Trip to Multnomah Falls

Come
Come join us on a trip!

A trip of EPIC proportions!
We like adventure!
We found adventure!
We found Crown Point on Scenic Hwy 30 in Oregon!

Below picture you can see a little "Vista House" we will be there soon!

Below we are at the Vista House with just a short but beautiful drive... 30 minutes away from our little living area in Portland!

Some excitement as you never know what is beyond the next turn!

At last we are at Multnomah Falls.

Below as we walked up the parking lot! 1/4 mile to walk to the bridge and 1.25 miles to the top.

Looking down from the bridge! A second fall of sorts.  They say the largest West of the Mississippi!  I haven't seen much, but this is impressive and a lot of visitors!

We didn't make it to the top today.  We will though!
We will come a bit more prepared with snacks and water!  We did refuel with ice-cream as we left!
Esther was asking for a stroller!  Esther was tired before we started (who is normally running ahead).  Adeline was just starting to mention she was tired as we were 3/4 up.  So we decided to head back down and Adeline asked why.  I like that she thinks it can be hard and not assume it is time to head back.  I didn't want to ruin all future hiking on one trip we weren't well prepared for.
Look out Multnomah Falls - we will be back!  I want to see it in Fall, Winter and Spring!
