Come have FUN with the Conrads!!!

We lean on Jesus as He is our strength for everyday.
1 Peter 4:11 Whoever speaks, is to do so as one who is speaking the utterances of God; whoever serves is to do so as one who is serving by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Catch up

Well! So much and so little time. I have had a lap top death in the past month. It just isn't as much fun to blog from the desk top and now that the new lap top arrived I'm learning my way around. Not to mention being stubborn and hence no pictures for this blog. Bryan has the cool lap top right now and I have another one from Dell they sent us on accident. Imagine 2 lap tops for the price of one... what a deal ... until.. we send this one back.

I think this will make it official... we are naming our baby girl to arrive Esther Maeve. Esther after Bryan's grandmother and Maeve b/c we like it. Both are older names. I think we will end up calling her Essie.

Adeline is just as cute as ever! She has such a vocabulary! She seems to say "no" a lot and it is a rather definitive no. We have been working on this. Though I think it a good thing she is starting to express her independence - we are just working on the right and wrong ways to do so. She loves Miss. Patty Cake (DVD's), she loves her crocks (water type shoes), ice cream - "I ceam - pink" she says, she knows and will quickly name anything pink, and recently added pretty good accuracy to green and blue. She thinks the color yellow is called Adeline b/c her seat at school has a yellow tag with her name on it. She knows the difference, but seems to switch it up every now and then. She recently started saying "conrad". For the last month or 2 she says calkoun for Calhoun - who knows when he hears his name b/c he comes running for a treat that has hit the ground. He is great with her. She has transferred into her big girl bed for over 3 weeks without any issues. She loves her polka dot sheets. She loves going for bike rides with Daddy and now wears her helmet (that I insisted on for safety).
NEsting activities of late: Rearranging the living room to put Adeline's toys in a not so obvious area behind the chairs and got rid of the last of the big yellow furniture. Whew! We gave it away and what a huge move that was. I have Esther's clothes all sorted and washed. Somewhat ready. There are a few more organizational points that need to occur, but I think we would be pretty ready for her when she comes home. Speak of... we are now 36 weeks along (as of tomorrow). Esther should be approx 18 inches and 5-6 lbs. I'm leaning toward the 6lbs.
Bryan has been rather busy working on his PhD stuff. Almost every night. With the extra weight of Esther bryan has been greatly helping with Adeline every night practically with bed and bath. Of course I miss it terribly, but I seem to get into a lot of physical pain if I do too much. With the Adeline pregnancy I took the bus only when raining. With the Esther pregnancy I have to take the bus every day now. What a slug - just kidding. Bryan has been giving me props for being tough.
I'm keeping my eyes out for some part time work - though no luck yet.
My Dad is pretty much recovered from 2 major surgeries, so Mom decides to schedule one for this Thursday - outpt knee surgery. Hope Dad can kick it up a notch and give her a tad bit of TLC she has lavished on him the past few months.
My dear sweet brother - just had a b-day and seems to have a really cool girlfriend. I hope he is happy.
The local family seems to be staying out of trouble. Martha was pink slipped (yeah) then got rehired the next week. State funding issues.... Our county was getting rid of school nurses. Go figure the moment I consider it - out it goes. So boo hooo Martha is working next fall. She likes her job, so really it is a good thing.
A funny story about Meme2 (Esther)... she was so excited to hear that someone was naming their baby after her. Then another time she got a little confused and said she didn't understand why someone would name their dog after her. Then she was excited all over again when they corrected her.
I have joined a women's Bible study group and am enjoying being part of an adult Bible study class. We miss our college students that have graduated and moved on too. I think we will be restarting in the Fall... we shall see!
