Come have FUN with the Conrads!!!

We lean on Jesus as He is our strength for everyday.
1 Peter 4:11 Whoever speaks, is to do so as one who is speaking the utterances of God; whoever serves is to do so as one who is serving by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Baby Version 2.0 update

Who would have guessed this about the bones??? Imagine a turnip being 5oz and 5inches... very light huh?!

Had an OB appointment yesterday and heard the heart beat at 159bpm.

Your baby weighs 5 ounces now (about as much as a turnip), and he's around 5 inches long. The umbilical cord, his lifeline to the placenta, is growing stronger and thicker. Your baby can move his joints, and his skeleton — until now, rubbery cartilage — is starting to harden into bone. Some of it will remain cartilage for years after he's born. A newborn's skeleton has 300 parts (a combination of bone and cartilage). As your child grows, some of these parts harden and fuse together. By the time your baby reaches adulthood, he'll have just 206 bones.

Suzanne's Dad

Suzanne just went down to Titusville because her dad is in a hospital down there. The Shunks were getting ready to leave on a cruise today but Jim had a lot of pain when he got up. They went to the hospital to get checked out and got admitted to figure out what is going on. Me and Addy will be holding down the fort here in G'ville.

Happy Valentine's Day!!!
Posted by Picasa
Happy valentines day! I find that the less romantic I become, the more important v day is.

If you like Nickle Creek...

Sam Pacetti is going to be in concert at the Thomas Center in dowtown Gainesville Friday night. I have heard a few of his songs on the folk radio station and he plays some pretty rockin bluegrass songs, if you like Nickle Creek, you might be interested! Perhaps this should be a Mandatory Family Fun event? Give me a call if you want tickets ($15).

Some Addy thoughts at 17 months

Addy is so cute. When you pray with her for dinner or before bed she will almost always chime in with the Amen. A big Amen too.
She also loves to sing. Get her singing in the car and she keeps signing "more" so you will keep singing with her. Some of her favorites are Itsy Bitsy Spider, The Wheels on the Bus, Twinkle Twinkle, ABC's, If you are Happy and You know it (claps and points to her face with "face will show it"). And of course she loves to sing Row, Row, Row your boat and I sway her after her bath - or anytime really.
Signs: More, eat, dog, cat, bird, duck, daddy, milk, all done, flower, shoe, book, fish, cheese, please, sock, apple, bath, diaper
Words: More, eat, cat, bo(Calhoune), dog, cat, daddy, shoe, sock, mama, dada, papa, annie, sassy, berry (for strawberry), debra, stacy, (some of her friends as schools names), leash, fish, owl, bock bock (chicken - bird or food), cheese, snack, treat, happy, stream (from row row), one, two, three (when counting), circle, square, star (shape from her shape cookie jar toy), jojo (the stuffed dog), jacket, ball, balloon, cookie, please, walk, bobo, ouie, apple, bye-bye, hey, no-no, nooo, cow/moo-moo, Jack (donkey down from MnB), moon (recent word),
Pick out/understand: Zoo keeper, Noah, bib, camel, tiger, gator (does the Gator chomp), timeout :(, kiss (she does a cute lip smack), hug, waves hi and bye, turtle, dirty diaper, butterfly, wagon ride.
I'm sure I have missed some - feel free to add to the list in the comments :)

THE chicken

Addy, Martha and Bill looking at Fred the mule

Jealous Chicken

Then Adeline and I joined up with Martha and Bill at Dudly Farms. Addy got to see a horse, mule, cows, chickens, turkeys, airplanes (in the air), flowers, girl scouts, and much much more. Unfortunately a chicken was not too happy to smell chicken sandwich meat (Addy had been eating her lunch on the go) on her and took a nibble of Addy. It scared her and until we couldn't find any blood we were a little scared too! She is tough though. Bad "bock bock" as Addy would say.

Another fun and exciting Saturday! We started it off by going for a walk to the village center for breakfast. Calhoun too! It was a beautiful morning of 58 degrees.

how cool is this, I am blogging from my phone!

Crafty

So cool! I just found a blogger with some cool baby crafts and the patterns. She sounds really cool. http://homemadebyjill.blogspot.com/

Here is baby version 2.0 as of 12-21-07. Baby will likely be due August 6th.

Our fun today

What an awesome day! We (Adeline, Calhoun, Bryan and I) started out walking in Haile, our neighborhood, enjoying the fresh market and buying a blueberry muffin to share. We ran into Dr. Johnson who delivered Adeline and got to tell him about our new bun in the oven (13 weeks).
Next Adeline went off to Hoggetowne Medieval faire at the fairgrounds here in town. We saw all sorts of neat stuff. We saw elephants, camels, folks dressed up, horses, belly dancers, fire jugglers, mini horses. Adeline would not ride on the mini horses. I like the caution she exhibits. We did all of this with Stephanie W., her special friend Travis, Lindsay S, from work, and her 5 yr old son Sebastian. It was a great time.
Then we came home, Addy napped while bryan and I watched the Gator B-ball game (they lost). Next we went to the Veterans park just down the road b/c it was a BEAUTIFUL day. We took shovels, rakes, sifter, bunny mold and bucket and played in the sand until a poppy diaper appeared. Bryan buried Addy up to her waist in sand. She is such a good sport. She tried to bury Bryan and myself with little handfuls of sand at a time. She would also dig her hands down deep in the sand just like she saw her dada do. With a half clean hind end we headed home, bryan bathed Addy and off we went to I Love NY pizza. Addy loves "izza". Then after enjoying it from outside we headed home.
With Addy sound asleep. We started working on a "Lost" puzzle. Next thing you know we have Martha and Bill delivering the best tasting strawberries ever. Could be a better day!
What a blessed day of time with family and some friends too.
Too bad the camera batteries were - DEAD :(

Welcome
