Come have FUN with the Conrads!!!

We lean on Jesus as He is our strength for everyday.
1 Peter 4:11 Whoever speaks, is to do so as one who is speaking the utterances of God; whoever serves is to do so as one who is serving by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Dance!

They were soooo excited!

Psalm 149:3
Let them praise His name in chorus and choir and with the [single or group] dance; let them sing praises to Him with the tambourine and lyre!

Below is my prolific Essie.  I wonder if she will go into journalism?  She just writes all kinds of letters, mostly her name over and over.  Adeline even gives her words to trace and write on occasion.

Esther's person

This was back in January.  She really is drawing some good faces/people.  I need to take a picture of the drawing of Calhoun she did with all his curls.  I love this girl and she has some great fine motor skills too!  and she is cute too!!!  And of late she has taken an interest in getting baptized.  She is almost demanding it.  Since the end of December she really has had some deep spiritual questions and been showing us just how much she understands about God sending Jesus to die for her and that he came back to life and lives now with God watching over us.  It is just so sweet. We thank God for you Esther!

Adeline can sew

Adeline really has had her eye on sewing.  We have been asked when can she get her own sewing machine.  Well... maybe we should sew some before we get a machine.  We talked about at 10 years old and all the functions she wants it to have. Sewing is in her blood no matter how you look at it! This is a purse, with a litle loop to hold her sunglasses.  She was so excited.  Now this may look like summer wear, but this was in January of this year!

Happy 1st Birthday Henry!

Didn't his mommy do a great job with the cake?!  Chomp chomp!!!

The girls had so much fun "helping" Henry open his presents. It was a bit too much, but he was a trouper.  It was such a fun party!  These girls LOVE their cousin Henry!

Happy Valentines Day and Upward Basketball rocks!

Valentine's day is one of my favorite days. It reminds us to show others how we love them. You get to do fun crafts and eat cookies/candy. I am so thankful God has given me two super fun girls to enjoy this world with and a loving husband that doesn't demand this holiday be all about him (tee he hee)! God has put some amazing friends into our lives we will forever be thankful for. Some right here in our backyard and some already moved away and some yet to cross our path I am sure. God gave the best present ever to us through His son (Jesus' death and rising and coming again! Praise God He gave us the Holy Spirit to guide us every day!)

Below are pictures to prove just how much fun I had being the coach of Adeline's team. Such a fun age!  The parents were awesome too.  If you slightly considering coaching you should do it.  Upward gives you tons of resources that include the schedule for the practice minute by minute explaining the drills and everything. Upward also shares a devotion and memory verse too with the kids.  We had so much fun.  When it was game time they would blow the smoke, call out the coaches and each player by name.  The kids loved it!!!  Esther was too young to play so she was my assistant (she still got to run out of the tunnel though).  She was a great whistle blower at practice and did a great job watching the game on Saturday.  We had faithful fans in Meme and Papa and had guest visitors such as the Tilley girls, Sassy, Aunt Annie and Henry!  We had the coolest water bottles thanks to Uncle Chad (mine said Coach Suzanne)!  Thanks for all you support, we felt loved.

Sassy came to town!

There is always so much fun when Sassy comes to town.  We made cookies and decorated then with lots of fun sprinkles. We made the Gingerbread house we just didn't get to around Christmas time.  So glad she was there with us to do it.  She went to the game as well.  She got to hear Adeline read in person and read to the girls! Thank you so much Sassy for making the trip.

Derby Races

Derby races were apart of Ocean Adventures. Something our Children's Minister John Parks created.  He is amazing and Adeline has learned so much this year.   So can I tell you Bryan was super excited to build a car with Adeline.  She picked out the paint, stickers, etc and they got right too it in the garage!  Esther helped a tiny bit.  See the Hammer Daddy built her?

Yes, bryan let her work the drill.  Somehow it was safe b/c it was secured in the vice grips.

Look at that Conrad team!  Adeline made sure to match her car - PURPLE!
Then off to the races with some of the other girls cars.  I am certain Adeline will not be out decorated next year.  We just ran out of time.

Proud girl and Daddy after their first race.  Though we had to explain that Adeline's car had won as she was certain she did not win for some reason.

Here is a picutre of some friends cars in the blue and green lanes.  Giving glory to God!!!

Cool action shot, this race was super close!

So in the overall race Adeline came in third.  She was in the yellow lane. Below is her time.  I needed to keep this picture so Bryan can be sure to beat this time next year.  I am certain he already has a plan :)

Adeline's amazing work!

Adeline has really taken off with her hand writing and reading.  Ever since Christmas break she has been reading more and more and loving it!  Praise God.  She was so excited to write her Bible verse for the week on the chalk board herself!  This was in January.

Above Adeline's assignment was to draw growing from a seed.  We talked about how God's word helps us grow into a better person.  Love the sprouts, her creative flowers, the birdie, the check mark noting it was a good picture, and she was trying to write God and good, but missed the other "o".  Couldn't correct her... I know God is proud just the way it is!

Adeline giving me her best effort!  She can be a very diligent worker for sure!

Sweet n Sporty Essie

So I just have to wonder what I am in store for!  I am pretty certain it is under the influence of our Day Care center that today Essie insisted we go exercise.  She wanted to go "running on the sidewalk".  I told her I would go get my shoes and she insisted I put on my exercise clothes.  So of course I did.  She was happy to pick out some pants and I begged for short and she conceded.  She was in her exercise clothes, so I got into my "exercise clothes" and off we went.  I asked why she wanted to go..." if you exercise you live a full life".  When we started to leave she didn't want to run the route I would have thought and she then again insisted we run on "the sidewalk".  I pointed out that we had to run ont he road to get to the path.  When I asked why she insisted on the "sidewalk", so cars don't run you over.  (of course!!)  Adeline was adamant about not going, so she stayed back and worked on a puzzle.  Though to Adeline's credit she asked we are goint to do "Upward" again.
