Come have FUN with the Conrads!!!

We lean on Jesus as He is our strength for everyday.
1 Peter 4:11 Whoever speaks, is to do so as one who is speaking the utterances of God; whoever serves is to do so as one who is serving by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Dance Worship

Adeline has not really enjoyed Dance Worship at Grace quite like I thought she would.  Some days she loves it, some days not so much.  Most days she doesn’t want to go unless I have a special dress/outfit for her.  I think it would be different if she knew more kids there.  Then again, you never know.  I do know every time she dances around the house she just beams.  It is easy to see she loves dancing.  Tonight was no different.  She let the joy of the Lord shine through.  She had so much fun. She is the cutie on the far right, back row.

And this is from her end of the year program from Sonshine Day.  The is the first one to walk out on the left in an orange shirt.  (she ends up standing in the bleachers.  She is reserved this time compared to other programs.  To her credit she did promptly return her dinner to us when she got home – poor girl.  Also an interesting note to save money I used an old slightly small shirt and the left over orange dye from the easter eggs.  I am so proud that I was thinking that far in advance.  It saved me 3.50 from walmart, time, and a trip to walmart… so add up the driving and associated savings and it comes to like $150.  You know you can’t get out of walmart without dropping some money on who knows what.  Some advice…. if you use the vinegar type of dye like I did, the smell does go away after about a week.  And, I have no plans to wash the shirt.  I saw what happened to those eggs when they got wet.  The plan was if it was raining to put the shirt on her once inside. My motto:  Always have a plan and a back up plan!   So on to the video:

Sorry the videos are so long.  And I only expect family to watch these :) And Sammy of course :)  Though he may be disappointed as he likely won’t be able to pick Adeline out!  We love Sammy and thank him for watching our videos!

Did you notice in the above video Adeline has Psalm 100 memorized.  go girl!

Games played while Mom is away

So apparently the camera came out while I was out of the house. I do see her looking in the mirror in her room when I go to release her from time out.  Maybe this proves she spends a little too much time in there.  No no no she is not in there that often I promise :)  A sweetie!

My new Parenting blog

So… my mind is stuck on having another blog.  This new one (IMPRESS), has the goal of keeping track of cool websites, books we like, and join others in the journey of parenting.  We all have learned a lot in just a few short years.  Though we tend to learn best when it is real life, though if by sharing something we can spare some poor soul an extra bump or something why not right.  I have a lot to learn, so sometimes it may come in the form of a guest post I am hoping and sometimes maybe through comments.  Oh the possibilities if I have enough time (don’t we wish we all the time we needed to do what we want to get done – my house would be beautiful – or would it?).  Imagine if my intentions became reality.  So we shall see what becomes of this adventure.  God is able if I put forth the effort.  You won’t hear about it on this site anymore.  Just cute kids and family fun!

I have titled the blog Impress due God clearly imprinting Deuteronomy on my heart.  Really I wanted to title it Impress, Repeat, Repeat, Repeat, Repeat and trust God:
Deuteronomy 6: 4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. 5 Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. 6 These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 8 Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 9 Write them on the door frames of your houses and on your gates. 10 When the LORD your God brings you into the land he swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, to give you - a land with large, flourishing cities you did not build, 11 houses filled with all kinds of good things you did not provide, wells you did not dig, and vineyards and olive groves you did not plant - then when you eat and are satisfied, 12 be careful that you do not forget the LORD, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. 13 Fear the LORD your God, serve him only and take your oaths in his name. 14 Do not follow other gods, the gods of the peoples around you; 15 for the LORD your God, who is among you, is a jealous God and his anger will burn against you, and he will destroy you from the face of the land. 16 Do not test the LORD your God as you did at Massah.
