Charlotte's web

Esther has a field trip today to see Charlotte's Web at Portlands a Children's Theatre! Charlotte was a ribbon dancer type of character and it brought beauty and grace to the character! Very creative! All were mesmerized!!  We rode the bus and everything!

We loved this museum.  We got to see a porcupine, pet a rabbit and feel a snake!

Also as this museum the girls learned about indian life in Oregon.  They loved it! We also had a person dressed to the times to tell us all about shooting a gun and women did it to protect the chickens or their family while her husband was off hunting or in the fields far away.  We learned about Annie Oakly, swept floors and did some laundry.  I left feeling I need to learn to shoot a gun! Maybe I should get some chickens to protect first, otherwise I could just use 911!

This is in downtown Bend!  We saw two folks paddle boarding in shorts with ice along the side of the river.  

I would not doubt Bryan and a friend will be there soon!

 

Tubing on Mt. Bachelor!  All was fun until Esther went air born at the bottom of the hill and landed on her hip!

 

Sometimes I think the girls would be happy if all we did was hang out at the hotel! Double Tree with a pool was a win!

Ice Cream (Burgers prior) ended our trip at Sno Cone in Sisters!

Bend: Hiking to Behnem Falls

So off we went to find a waterfall!  We had an off trail adventure, climbed rocks, made fresh tracks in the snow, crossed an awesome bridge, and didn't make it to the falls.  All this we stumbled on trying to visit Lava Park which was closed for the winter!

Bend: Pilot Butte

So we bribed the girls with ice cream to hike up Pilot Butte.  

A little bit of not wanting to go, but they sure did enjoy the top!

These are the 3 Sister mountains of which the town of Sisters is named!

This is on our way North to Sisters.  Black Butte.  I hear we will have to hike this soon!
