Esther is 9 months old today!!!
Oh, how I can not even imagine my life without Esther for one second. The past 9 months have been millions of blessings. She is a beam of life and love into my heart from God. She is active these days. She pulls up in a flash and has been for weeks. She crawls with a purpose. She loves to go go go. She has some cute faces. My favorite is not caputred to it's fullest in the above, but when she is so happy she squences up her eyes and mouth and looks up as if she is full of joy that a huge smile just can't contain it. She is babling up a storm with many sounds. aba, ana, maa, baa, I think the ana thing today was an effort to say Addy. We shall see. When she makes eye contact with you there seems to be a purpose. She connects with you or something. At Disney the other day (post to come) she had street dancers coming up to her an everything. And it was croweded. She also does a cute hands in the air. Either begging for an Amen - praise the Lord or for a high 5. It is rather cute. She is eating great, loving avacado, yogurt, walnuts, tofu, and much much more. She has even been doing good with the little puffs/finger foods. They seem to be more for entertainment purposes. She is patient (except when it comes to food) and her talking voice is so sweet, almost musical. Adeline is so sweet with her. She gets covered with sweet hugs and kisses several times a day. Adeline is sweet to exchange toys with her. Esther loves to eat shoes.

Sonshine Day Easter
I got to hang out with Adeline's class a couple of weeks ago when they had their Easter party. We did an egg hunt, circle time and played in the gym. It was so much fun. We love our teachers Ms. Neige Sneider & Ms. Lauren Cobos. We also love Sonshine Day Preschool and Daycare.
Vote for Papa
Bill was reelected as City Commissioner for the City of Newberry on Tuesday. Here the family was cheering him on. Addy wore a button and when asked it told people to vote for Papa she would say. She waved and held a sign with the best of them. Congratulations Bill.

My blood sugar since getting a pump
No its not real data (although that would be pretty cool if you really could describe blood sugar levels with something as simple as an exponentially varying sinusoidal function!)
Hopefully when i get the rates figured out it will look more like this:
Just in case anyone cares, i will keep you posted…

the first day in over a year i haven’t given myself a shot
As you may know, i recently celebrated my first anniversary of joining the diabetes club. with my rookie year in the books, it seemed like a good time to reward myself and get a very cool new diabetes technology gadget! i am now a proud insulin pumper. That means that instead of giving 4 shots of insulin a day, the pump will constantly pump small amounts throughout the day and allow me to increase the rate whenever i eat some carbs. Annie helped me get it set up a couple of days ago (my md was too busy, so i went straight to the real expert) and today i started using it exclusively.
In addition to constantly injecting insulin into my body, it also has another awesome feature: Real Time glucose readings. The glucose readings work by inserting a small tube just under the skin which measures glucose every 5 minutes. Considering i usually only get 5-6 glucose readings per day with traditional finger sticks (which are still required to calibrate the continuous sensor), this gives me tons more information for better keeping track of what my body is doing. In case you are wondering what all of this stuff would like attached to my belly, here you go:
