Bryan had a work party. I don't know if you can see, but their front yard was FILLED with eggs all over the grass. You couldn't walk a half step without stepping on an egg. What fun! And the food was beyond belief fabulous! We need to get some training in Italian/Mexican Easter traditions :)
Below is Adeline icing her first cake. I am sad to say I had trouble handing over the spreader until I reallized what I was doing. She did a great job!!!
After we made our cake we also started working on what I call Resurection Cookies! This was a great way to tell THE story of Jesus and Easter in a very clear way to the girls. You use vinegar like Jesus had just before he said his last words, salt like the tears of sorry... etc. ! Here is the link: http://womenlivingwell.org/2012/03/easter-story-cookies-wlww-link-up-party/
I plan on this being an annual tradition!!! Though hope to get pictures next year. It was awesome. Essie at 3 had some trouble focusing, but she got some of the meaning for sure to make it worth it. Addy at 5 was all into it and telling me more of the story than the scripture we read. She knew all about the wax and the kings ring to seal the tomb. She was super into it!

The pix of Essie and the 'Elf book' is so cute!! You and Bryan are doing such a good job of teaching the girls what the 'real' meaning of Easter and Christmas are, with such neat ideas!! I LOVE the resurrection cookies...neat idea!! :)
