Okay... I am all about sharing tidbits. And not just pineapple recipes either! ha ha!!
So Bryan hooked me up with Google Reader! I have been following a blog via my phone titled "Chief Family Officer(CFO)". Her blog is more like a job in all she shares and if you use links within her blog she gets "bucks" and stuff. So I do think she does it for more than just sharing, but hey go for it I say.
I wanted to share some things I am considering. Starting a
"Price Book" (click on the link to see her post on it). I plan to make my version in excel and then load it to google documents that I can then pull up on my phone while at the store. I really do get frustrated when I am at say Publix and I see that they have dog food on sale and I have no clue if it is $10 more or $2 less than what I pay at Target Vs Walmart. So I plan to start keeping track and hopefully in a few months might have some good data to make some good decisions on good buys, etc.
She also talks (The Drugstore Game) about making money from Walgreens and CVS by using coupons and mail in rebates. Just today I printed off a coupon from the internet for $3 off of a $15 purchase. That is an awesome return, esp when most coupons are for 50 cents in the paper. So I plan to start keeping an eye out for CVS and WG. She really makes money and buys like 4 razors to earn $5 and get 4 razors. Her husband must get a new razor everyday because even this week she was talking about the deal on razors. Some items she buys she doesn't even find useful, just for the $$$. If anyone does make money like this I would love to hear of it.
Another cool thing: She talks about
recalls. Though I haven't signed up myself (like she encourages you to) I plan to do so. Her blog is a good reminder and she even posts pictures of the item being recalled. And she even mentioned the
peanut butter issues with links, etc in another post (see link).
So... I get nothing from this, but check out this blog. And also let me know what you think about the "price book".
Another note just to share what Bryan has show me is igoogle. It is like a homepage for all my blogs, gmail (that I'm considering switching to), weather, Bible verse of the day, and much much more.
okay... my work here is done. I have shared way more than I really know, perfect way to end a blog.
